The new Air Max's will have Hornets fans drooling.

The NBA All-Star game is in just a few weeks and the weekend of festivities will be taking place in Charlotte, the home of the Charlotte Hornets. As they usually do, Nike has begun to announce a lineup of All-Star game sneakers. Most of the time these kicks are basketball related and have something to do with the host city. Other times, the brand likes to switch it up and honor a specific player. The Beaverton brand has just unveiled a brand new Air Max 98 that isn't necessarily associated with the All-Star game, but certainly takes on the spirit of the Hornets jerseys.

These kicks are listed as having a "Court Purple/Terra Blush-Spirit Teal" colorway. The outsole is teal while more teal can be found on the leather upper. Meanwhile, the toebox is laced in purple leather. There are also teal and purple accents throughout the primarily white tongue and upper.
