As promised, Night Lovell delivered his new project Red Teenage Melody, on June 13. It was actually pretty late last night that the full project was finally uploaded to his Soundcloud, so give us a slightly-late-pass. The Ottawa-bred rapper led the project with "Louis V" and most recently, "Contraband," both melodic trap-influenced bangers that showed off his adeptness for hooks.
I have to admit I'm not all the way through my first listen of Red Teenage Melody, but from what I've heard so far, these comments remain true for the entirety of the stream. The cavernous-voiced MC doesn't miss a beat, straight from the project opener "Boy Red," produced by Blvc Svnd (who, if you're not familiar with, he's done some banging production for Lil West, among plenty of other Soundcloud up and comers-- a producer to watch, basically). Blvc Svnd permeates his beat with a howling siren and hard-hitting drums, later adding a proper ambulance siren to the mix. If you fuck with this, check out the rest of the album here.
