Mathaius Young doesn't need drugs to feel "Numb."

Fresh off the drop of his new EP Dreams Of My Death: 2030the multi-talented Mathaius Young continues to expand his repertoire. While previous drops explored hazy sonic territory, the new Idle Kid assisted "Numb" finds Mathaius bringing out a strange yet hypotic reversed synth loop; it's not exactly unexplored territory for the producer, but it's a solid effort nonetheless."I don't do the drugs and a n***a still numb," sings Mathaius, a fact that already separates him from his contemporaries. Another noteworthy separation is the fact that "Numb" is nearly double the length of the average SoundCloud rap song.

If you've been sleeping on Young, it wouldn't hurt to acquaint yourself with his movement. Possessing plenty of raw talent, it seems as if Mathaius is gaining focus as he evolves. While his definitive work has yet to come, the future looks bright for the Dreams Of My Death rapper.

Quotable Lyrics

I get my own shit, what I look like with a rental?
Yeah I heard your friend wanna come, slide to the middle
Fuckin' with an 8 ton gorilla, again I'ma killa
