In an conversation with Mass Appeal, Mathaius Young reveals the inspiration of his latest track, the vulnerable "1 Convo." “I had just broke up with my girlfriend at the time," says Young. "My mind was everywhere. Not to sound cheesy, but in my heart I kinda know who I want to end up with at the end of the day. This chick I used to date back when I was a young n*gga. The best person I’ve ever met.”
In the track, Young reflects on the college years that drove them apart ("I fucked around and lost my favorite girl"), delivering a sincere apology to the woman he left behind. Young's upcoming album Take The Night Away drops May 26th.
