Porzingis is set to come back next season.

The NBA world was subjected to shock and awe when the New York Knicks traded their best player, Kristaps Porzingis, to the Dallas Mavericks. Porzingis hadn't played this season thanks to an injury and hasn't been able to suit up for the Mavericks yet. With rookie of the year candidate Luka Doncic on the Mavs, fans are excited to see what the team will look like once Porzingis gets on the court. One of the people who is giddy at the idea is Mavericks owner Marc Cuban.

"(We expect him) to f-ing crush it (next season)," Cuban said, via ESPN. "We're looking for The Unicorn to unicii. I don't know if that's a word, but that's what we expect."

Ever since the trade back in February, the Mavericks have been very attentive to Porzingis' injury as they don't want to rush him back to the court. For Porzingis, this is a good thing as he wants to be healthy for a potential playoff run next season.

"There's no rush," Porzingis said at the time of the trade. "I've been patient this whole time and I'm going to keep staying patient, which is one of the hardest things for me to do. We're going to make the right decisions."

The Mavericks will surely need Porzingis as they are currently ranked 14th in the Western Conference with a record of 29-46.
