Recently, Kevin Gates' wifey and boss-ass-bitch Dreka Gates, revealed that she's solely in charge of putting together Kevin Gates' new album, while the Baton Rouge native remains locked up. Although she admitted that it is a daunting task to be entrusted with all the decision-making, she appears to be up for the challenge, and anyways, the "music is always fire," she could hardly go wrong.
Today we seemed to have receive our first taste, and indeed, it is fire. Kevin Gates has dabbled into making pop-rap, quite successfully too, but this new release feels a bit more grounded in his past, with a hard-hitting beat and menacing lyrics to match. Gates assures us his boss status won't change any time soon. The song is expected to hit iTunes at Midnight, for now, stream it here.
