Kendrick Lamar drops a video for the "For Free?" interlude.

The second track on this year's provocative To Pimp A Butterfly, the "For Free?" interlude is one of the most jarring tracks on the album for a number of reasons. First, there's the free jazz-style hodgepodge that forms the instrumental, making for some extremely slippery footing for Lamar to begin with. Then there's his freewheeling, off-the-wall delivery-- Lamar's really rapping like nobody else around on this track. Anyway, today "For Free?" has gotten a video.

For the video, Lamar manages to stick to a pretty conventional relationship story while still cramming it full of symbology and thought-provoking imagery. Good stuff.
