Leonard was expected to leave Toronto in the offseason.

Kawhi Leonard was traded to the Toronto Raptors in the offseason and while everyone knew Leonard would be a great player for the team, no one really expected him to want to stay for more than a season. The former NBA Finals MVP has been rumored to want to play in Los Angeles, with the Clippers being the frontrunner to land him in the offseason. Now though, the Raptors are winning and are tied 2-2 in their second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers.

With Kawhi on the Raptors, they are a powerhouse team in the Eastern Conference. Thanks to the franchise's recent winning culture, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski believes there is a chance that Kawhi could return to Toronto next season.

Per "The Woj Pod":

"Kawhi Leonard just felt all along, it was going to take the full year to sell him on Toronto. It wasn't going to be done in training camp or by Christmas or by the trade deadline. But I do think they've made progress with him. I think they've made pretty good progress with him from the sense I have. They put themselves in it. And when Kawhi showed up there, I'm not sure he imagined any future in Toronto. I do think it's a serious consideration now."

If the Raptors get eliminated by the 76ers, there is a stronger chance that he will want to leave, although if they can get themselves to the NBA Finals, it wouldn't be surprising if Leonard would want to come back.

Where do you think the Raptors superstar should go?
