Less than a week ago, Calikidd delivered the highly enjoyable sequel to January's N.C.S.D. (No Cuts Straight Drop) tape, featuring contributions from Ben J of New Boyz, Bad Lucc, Tay F 3rd and CEO Gutta. Now he returns to bring us "Champ," a bonus track from the project.
On first listen, "Champ" seems like it would have fit perfectly amid N.C.S.D.'s collection of turnt up, slightly ratchet music. The beat is comprised of a funky, muted bassline, a clap track and rolling hi-hats, coming out sounding very of-the-moment, in terms of L.A.'s current hip-hop scene.
