Blu & Nottz, the rapper/producer duo who have dropped two projects thus far, are returning for a third. We'll kind of. This new project is actually a combination album of the last two, but completely remastered and changed in the set list. However, they have provided fans with some new original material, in the form of their new track, "Yesterday."
The production is what truly stands out here. Nottz creates a melodic wave for Blu to ride using little more than a drum kit and some vocal samples. The result is a groovy, chilled out beat that lends itself well to Blu's technical rapping.
Along for the ride is Sene, perhaps better known now for playing Wilfredo 'Chico' Diaz in the Luke Cage television series, and Elisa Meri, who provides vocals for the chorus.
