Lorde has seen a sudden rise to fame this past year, starting with her break-out and debut single "Royals" in mid-2013. Since then, she's become somewhat of a hip-hop darling, with countless remixes, and she's also proven herself with her debut full-length album Pure Heroine. Now she's making some business moves, as she was tapped to curate the new soundtrack for the "Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1" film.
While the movie doesn't hit theatres for another two months, today Lorde has released the first single from the soundtrack. "Yellow Flicker Beat", Lorde says, is "my attempt at getting inside her head, Katniss’. i hope you like it."
