As we reported on at the beginning of February, Nas is gearing up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album Illmatic on April 19th. The OG will be releasing a new double-disc version of the album, dubbed Illmatic XX. The album will contain some previously unheard and rare cuts, including an unheard version of "I'ma Villain", as well as this gem, his 1993 "Stretch & Bobbito" freestyle with fellow MCs 6'9" and Grand Wizard.
While the freestyle has circulated on the internet for some time now, Nas has released the official version that'll appear on Illmatic XX. If you've never heard it, give it a listen, and if you have, well you'll probably still want to listen.
In addition to Illmatic XX, Nas will be debuting an "Illmatic" documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 16th.
