Nappy Roots drop off their new track, "Blind Faith."

Nappy Roots have released a powerful new single and video to kick off the campaign for their new project 4ORTY. The Southern group came through with "Blind Faith" earlier this month and recently unleashed the visuals for the single. As the protests continue throughout America, Nappy Roots reflect on the systemic oppression Black Americans face, especially between COVID-19 and policing in America. 808-Blake lays down a mellow instrumental while Lando Ameen provides some assistance on the vocals.

"During these trying times of uncertainty our humanity and faith are being put to the test. ‘Blind Faith’ is a song in direct reflection of our willingness to overcome these obstacles. According to most, ‘Blind Faith’ means having complete confidence in someone, or something without any reason to do so," Nappy Roots told HHDX. "This is where the problem begins. While there are many solutions to a problem, we make an honest attempt and plea to listen to our inner selves to help find these answers. The world we live in is ever-changing and we must try our best to positively contribute to the human race.”

Peep the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
I'm ridin' 'til the wheels fall, engine and all
Wishin' for a better day, I guess my timin' is off
I'm lookin' for a sign, I can tell that I'm lost
Please, Lord, save my soul like I'm nailed to the cross
