Damian Lillard's 37-foot shot to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder was seen by almost everybody yesterday and let's just say the aftermath of it all was pretty interesting. Pundits started giving their hot takes on how the Trail Blazers could go all the way to the NBA Finals while also saying that Lillard might be a better point guard than Steph Curry. Perhaps the hottest take though came from Paul George who tried to say the Lillard made a "bad shot." George was the player defending Lillard at the time.
"Yeah, that's a bad shot," George said according to Sports Illustrated. "I don't care what anyone says. That's a bad shot. But he made it. That story will be told that it was bad shot and you have to live with it."
Lillard heard George's comments loud and clear and was admittedly not a fan of what he had to say. While appearing on C.J. McCollum's podcast, Lillard threw some shots in PG's direction.
"For him to say that’s a bad shot, that’s just kind of being a poor sport," Lillard said. "If anything, it was bad defense, because I had the ball in my hands with two seconds, and I wasn’t going to drive, so maybe he should’ve just bodied up."
The series between the Trail Blazers and the Thunder featured a ton of trash talk so its good to see the hatred continue well after the series is over.
