Han Solo's most important tool went for half a million.

Han Solo may not have had a highly successful reboot last month, but he's still one of Star Wars' most revered characters. Harrison Ford brought the space scoundrel to life in the original trilogy in the late 70's and early 80's, and he reprised his role in The Force After Han is killed by his own son, Kylo Ren, Rey takes on his rebellious spirit and pilots the Millennium Falcon alongside Chewbacca. Alden Ehrenreich portrayed a younger Han in the recent origin film, but Lucasfilm is halting any other spin-off films after Solo underperformed at the box office. We may have seen the last of Han for awhile as far as movies go, but one wealthy Star Wars fan will have a piece of him forever.

According to BBCa blaster prop used in the 1983 trilogy conclusion Return of the Jedi was recently sold at an auction in New York. The piece of Han's history cost $550,000. The blaster is made mostly of wood and had previously spent over 30 years in the possession of the film's art director James Schoppe. There were an additional 40 items sold from Star Wars films at the auction, including an Ewok ax, another blaster, and plans for Jabba the Hutt's ship. The second blaster went for $90,624 and the ax sold for $11,250.
