Yelawolf addresses the current state of "beef" between him and Machine Gun Kelly, and talks about his upcoming projects including "Country Cousins".

Although he has been killing it for awhile, Yelawolf had a breakout year in 2011, especially following his appearance on BET’s Shady 2.0 cypher.  Last year also so the breakout of another fast-spitting white-skinned rapper in Machine Gun Kelly, and initially there was tension, but that has since passed.   Sitting down with KarmaloopTV, the Alabama rapper address the current status of the MGK beef, and about new projects fans can expect to hear from him in 2013.

Tension between the two rappers may have subsided, but fans of Yelawolf still have animosity towards the rapper’s perceived rival and are prone to shout out “Fuck MGK!” at shows.  ‘Wolf addresses this, and says fans can do as they please, but he is past that beef and onto the next chapter.  “They as fans, they obviously see it as relevant...I always do the best, and that shit is not even in my scope.  Dude has never called me out,” the Trunk Muzik rapper adds, “At one point when there was a potential situation, it fell apart.  I’m personally on musically, and mentally, onto my next phase, and onto my next move.”

Discussing some of those next moves,  Yela talks about what’s on tap for him in the new year, and the latest on the collabo between him and Big K.R.I.T., “ Going onto Nashville [to record], Trunk Muzik Returns is dropping...in February 2013, probably,” and addresses the collabo project,  “then Love Story, I’ll be making Love Story in Nashville...me and K.R.I.T. are still back and forth on the phone with beats for Country Cousins.”

With these exciting projects in the works, Yelawolf is poised to have another big year in 2013.
