Brooklyn's own Wati Heru just dropped off a new EP (Dystopia FM) with producer Kashaka today, and now we've selected a highlight from it for today's songs list. "New Blue Hunnids" is a low-key jam that features production dominated by a burrowing bassline and clamorous percussion.
On this one, as well as most cuts from the EP, Kashaka's production recalls some of the best beats from The Neptunes' most experimental days, outfitting tracks with stuttering drums and an uneasy atmosphere. Lyrically, Wati finds a nice groove, weaving in and out of the gritty sounds with a flow reminiscent of Roc Marciano's.

Ten blunts of boof, I'm aloof
All about the loaf with a loop, I'm fuckboy proof
Your whole squad goof, your broad think I'm cute
I keep the coochie drippin' like juice
