Today we're introducing you to a new signee of the future classic imprint, a label that also houses artists like Flume, Little Dragon, Shlohmo, among others, and Wafia fits right in among that lot.
Wafia is comparable to fellow female singer Banks, melding r'n'b with an electronic influence, creating moody, love-driven records. The electronic subtleties surrounding the hook come from Ta-Ku's dope production, which will have you wanting to replay. This isn't Ta-Ku and Wafia's first collaboration together, they recently re-created Estelle's "American Boy" in a mellow, slowed-down space. We'll feature that one too cause it's pretty cool. Listen here.
This song will appear on Wafia's XXIX EP, due out November 20th via future classic.
All this time you left me wanting more
Had me swallow all of my pride
I wonder where this part of you came from
It was hidden in the shallow of your eyes
