Watch Eminem get interviewed by Stephen Colbert on Michigan public access television.

In one of the more deliciously random bits of internet video in recent memory, Eminem sat down with Stephen Colbert for a 20-minute interview on Monroe, Michigan (population: 20,000) public access television.

Colbert sets the tone by introducing Eminem as a “local Michigander who is making a name for himself in the competitive world of music."

Colbert is in character and Eminem plays along as the straight man in this "Between Two Ferns"-style interview. They discuss Marshall's Michigan musical influences  -- “I imagine Motown? Ted Nugent? Obviously Seger?" said Colbert -- as well as his self-styling as more of a political rapper or a "booty rapper," his new song "Phenomenal" and role as soundtrack executive producer for "Southpaw," and more.
