Statik Selektah grabs Joey Bada$$, Big K.R.I.T. and Chauncy Sherod for "In The Wind."

Tomorrow, on 7/7, Statik Selektah will release his new album Lucky 7, but first, he's giving us one more track to tide us over. "In The Wind" is a warm, uplifting cut from the album's first half, and it features Joey Bada$$ (one of his three features on the project), Big K.R.I.T. and Chauncy Sherod (who contributed vocals all over Action Bronson's recent Mr. Wonderful).

Chopping up a classic-sounding instrumental composed of guitar licks, summery keys and even some brass, Statik gives everyone a great palette for some positive lyricism. Bada$$ addresses his younger brother, and Krizzle laments the materialism still found in hip hop, each turning in great verses.

Quotable Lyrics

See knowledge your pops and wisdom's your OG
Experience is born in understanding of thee
Of whom you come to be, this child of destiny
Nothing's coincidental, everything meant to be
