It seems like Shawn Harris has been on the precipice of "album mode" for a good year now, but for real guys, the album is actually coming soon. In the meantime he continues to feed the streets with leaks that may or may not end up on LAFRE. As day one supporters of the artist formerly known as Nikko Lafre (hence the album title), the rapper has blessed us with more than a few exclusives, and following up "Onyx" he's back today with "Something New." Once again, it has production from VinnyX.
This time a sparse, constantly beeping beat is punctuated with bursts of bass, while Harris croons on the catchy hook, creating a polished record that could be serviced to radio. Take a listen, and stay tuned for LAFRE.
