The legendary collective mourns the loss of a friend.

The Ruff Ryders team are mourning the loss of their friend, producer and A&R Jay "Icepick" Jackson. Jackson died from cancer, and over the course of his career, it's clear that his influence touched many artists throughout the community. Swizz Beatz and Eve were among the first to commemorate Icepick with heartfelt Instagram posts.

"He was also a BIG part of the Ruff Ryders movement he was the reason the Albums got turned in on time just to name a few. We will celebrate you King forever!!" writes Swizz, who was also heavily involved in the Double R movement. "He also wanted to spread how important it is as men to go see the Doctor and check up on our heath ! That was his last request."

Billboard cites Icepick as the executive producer including Jadakiss’ Kiss the Game Goodbye, Styles P’s A Gangster and a Gentleman, Drag-On’s Hell and Back, DMX’s Grand Champ and Eve’s Scorpion and Eve-Olution. Quite the impressive resume, and truly a legacy to leave behind.

It's clear that Icepick Jay's presence will be missed, as evidenced by the myriad homages below. RIP to a fallen Ruff Ryder.
