Rockie Fresh is by far the most experimental artist signed to MMG, and he demonstrated his wide-ranging sonic interests on his mixtape The Night I Went To... released in January. His new release "Lies and Lullabies," he raps introspectively over a somber guitar-driven trap beat.
"Dealing with real life shit, decided to speak on it in roughly in a song," he told Complex.
Like a few songs in Rockie's catalog, "Lies and Lullabies" has the potential to be a crossover pop hit. He only needs one to catapult him to full-fledged music stardom.
