HotNewHipHop x PRhyme team up for a remix contest centered around the duo's lead single, "Courtesy."

Music fans rejoiced when news broke that Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier were teaming up to create PRhyme, a rapper-producer duo as well as the title of their debut album together. With Royce's undeniable wordplay and Premier's adaptation of music from Adrian Younge's catalog and signature scratches, hip-hop enthusiasts are in for a treat, when the album drops on December 9th.

Before then, though, we are excited to announce a new contest helmed by Royce and Premier, PRhyme Time. Royce, Premier and HNHH are calling upon aspiring rappers to lay down their best verse alongside these two OGs, on top of the lead single "Courtesy."

Here's how it'll go down. You can download the instrumental and acapella version of "Courtesy" below for free, record your 16s, and then submit it in this Soundcloud group for the PRhyme Time contest. Submissions for the contest will end on December 2nd, at which time, PRhyme alongside HNHH will choose the 10 best submissions. The top 10 will be open for voting on HotNewHipHop from December 2nd until the 9th. The voting will help us narrow it down to a top 4, from which the final winner will be selected by DJ Premier and Royce. The contest winner will be announced on December 16th, but we'll be updating you along the way when voting commences.

The one very lucky winner will receive the following prize pack from PRhyme:

    • Song played on Premier radio show
    • Interviewed on Premier radio show
    • Tweets from PRhyme congratulating winner
    • PRhyme gift package (Autographed CD, PRhyme hoodie and autographed poster)
    • 2 VIP tickets to PRhyme US Tour (travel and hotel not included)
    • Perform verse live with PRhyme during a stop on their PRhyme Tour
