Millsap has high praise for the 7-foot star.

Nikola Jokic has been tearing up the league this year and his ability to dominate the game was on full display last night when the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 121-113 in game 1 of their second-round matchup. Jokic was phenomenal in the game as he put up 37 points on 61.1% shooting from the field. The Nuggets are on the come up and Jokic's teammate Paul Millsap says a lot of it has to do with just how good Jokic is night in and night out.

"He's a sponge," Millsap said regarding Jokic, according to Sporting News. "He picks it up. He sees how people are playing him and guarding him and he makes the right play every time."

Millsap also compared Jokic to a quarterback in football because of the way he's able to read the game. Jokic even drew comparisons to one of the best players to ever step on a football field.

"That's what's great about him, he doesn't force anything. Everything is going to be the right play. He's going to make the right reads. He's like a quarterback out there," Millsap explained. "I consider him like a Tom Brady, he's always going to pick you apart and make the right reads. I commend him for doing that at this stage in his career. It's unbelievable."

Game 2 will go down on Wednesday night at 9 P.M. EST.
