I've never heard this MAX character before, but I came across his collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert today. After doing some quick research, MAX, real name Max Scheinder, is a New York-born singer who also did the whole Nickelodeon actor gig for a minute. He's currently signed to Pete Wentz's label, DCD2 Records, distributed by Warner. Today he dropped off a new EP, Wrong, of which this is the title track.
The record is like a melting pot of rock, r'n'b and hints of EDM. The climaxing hook is reminiscent of an EDM record, while his vocals are a rock'n'roll-esque Weeknd. Lil Uzi is getting in front of whole new audience with this feature, so it's definitely a good look for the rising rapper.
