It's not The Carter V, but it's still something. DJ Stevie J just dropped the ninth installment of his Appreciation mixtape series, and with it came a brand new track from Lil Wayne called "YFS." It's somewhat of a mix between his current and older styles, trademark clever lyricism drenched in melodic autotune flows, and Weezy rides the beat with a veteran's poise.
While some fans may not love Wayne's current direction, it's still great to see some new music from the GOAT contender. Meanwhile, we'll keep holding our breath for Carter V to pull a surprise drop.
