Kanye West will be one of the headliners for "12-12-12" a Hurricane Sandy relief concert at Madison Square Garden.
Overall, the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy have been able to band together and recover mostly, but unfortunately, some of the areas which were hit hardest by Sandy have a long ways to go before they are back to 100%. As part of the effort to assist those hurt by the hurricane, Kanye West will lead up a “12-12-12” concert, along with some several other huge names in music.
The concert will take place on December 12th, hence the “12-12-12” name, at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York. As reported by MTV, proceeds will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund that works along with local organizations serving those in the Tri-State area that were devastated by Sandy.
Some of the other notable names on hand will be rock icons Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and Roger Waters, as well as R&B legend Alicia Keys. The event is organized by the same group behind the historic 9/11 benefit concert “The Concert For New York City”.
