Listen to Amir Obe and Jimmy Prime's new collaboration, "Owe Me."

Amir Obe blessed fans with a new EP in December, Happening In The Grey Area, which he later followed up with a bonus record or two. Today the Detroit native connects with a Toronto rapper for "Owe Me." The connection isn't too far off, Amir previously worked with Drake, as did Jimmy Prime-- so we're getting to see the two similar artists merge their sounds here.

Amir's frequent producer, NYLZ, is on the boards alongside Toronto's own Daniel Worthy, and they create a moody, sprawling backdrop for rhymes that are layered in auto-tune, with hints of mechanical noises adding to the low-fi feeling. Let's hope these two have more collaborations in the stash, seeing how dope this one turned out.

Quotable Lyrics

I've been drippin like the blood non the leaves
I'm from the block but she knows there's more to me
TRIPSIXX I could roll that in my sleep
Pick six, I bring it home for the team
Home run baby let me get a play
I gotta eat, so these bitches gotta wait

- Jimmy Prime
