Jadakiss hasn't forgotten about his long-awaited Top 5 Dead or Alive project, deciding today is a good day as any to liberate album offering "Baby."
On his latest Yonkers-inspired cut, Jadakiss recruits Scram Jones for an instrumental stripped down the bare essentials, a simple drum groove and a chopped Mary J Blige vocal sample. More than enough for Jadakiss and D-Block artist Dyce Payne to work with, as they share tales from the streets and get some nice call-and-response going with the Mary J. vocal sample -- "A cradle my piece, my (baby) / I've been in the streets since I was a (baby)."
Watch out if you shoot a nigga or stab him up
Big difference between a savage and a scavenger
Crazy because I'm sitting on green, puffing the lavender
If everybody bucks with the coupe, I'll pull the wagon up
