By now you've all heard Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays release "Real Friends," which, in conjunction with that "No More Parties in LA" snippet, wiped the unfortunate "FACTS" from our collective memory. Given its quality, "Real Friends" was inevitable going to get some remixes. Lo and behold, Erykah Badu dropped off her "Real Friends" remix "Trill Friends" this morning via Soundcloud.
Badu, who also remixed "Hotline Bling," quotes the 1984 track "Friends" by rap pioneer trio Whodini as she sings sweet melody over the "Real Friends" instrumental. She claims that the "Real Friends" remix came about when she was messing around in her Dallas studio (Badudio), supposed to be recording something else.
With the "Real Friends" remix, Badu also announced her forthcoming mix tape THIS $h!t TOO EASY... stay tuned.
