Over the weekend, Drake announced a "new dance experience" event in Houston called "The Ballet." The event turned out to be a preview for a new Drake-owned Houston club "The Ballet" that will open next year.
“Treat yourself don't cheat yourself," Drake wrote on Instagram. "Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable.”
Along with dvsn's special "Sept. 5th" show, the pop-up event marked the end of Drake's second annual Houston Appreciation Weekend. He explained that Houston has a culture of “dancing and it’s not about no strip club shit. It’s about these amazing women that we’ve got in one spot, this music we’ve got, this Houston culture that we got. And I just wanna let you know that, me, I’m going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible.”
