If you're the type who's been thirsting for unforgiving Virgina Beach raps backed by minimal, slightly experimental production since 2009, look no further than DP. Ever since Malice found Christianity and Pusha was taken under Kanye's wing, there's nobody who does The Clipse's sound justice like the 20-year-old MC who hails from the same city as the Thorton brothers.
"Glitch" is, thus far, the third leak from DP's upcoming Designer Casket project. Preceded by "Glass Casket" and "Jabar," this new one's probably the most Neptunes-esque in sound, thanks to Brooklyn Taylor's uneasy, atmospheric production. Some may be quick to call DP a "Mr. Me Too," but his skills and attention to detail are far too on-point for him to be written off as a Clipse photocopy.
