Trump has clearly let Dave down.

Last November, Dave Chappelle turned in a memorable performance as host of SNL, setting things off with a hilarious and powerful monologue. At the time, Trump had just been elected as POTUS, and Chappelle had this to say on the matter: "I'm wishing Donald Trump luck, and I'm gonna give him a chance.`

As of last night, the legendary comedian is singing a different tune. Complex reports that Chappelle was speaking at a benefit for the Robin Hood non-profit when he addressed his previous statement. MSNBC's Willie Geist was there, and tweeted a report of Chappelle's apology.

"I was the first guy on TV to say 'Give Trump a chance. "I fucked up. Sorry."
