Live My Life
Live My Life
Clams Casino Feat. Lil B
HOTTTTT
Clams Casino and Lil B is indubitably the most based partnership in rap music. Lil B was the most frequent guest on Clams debut album 32 Levels, and the two of them are all set to tour the nation together starting next week. Friday afternoon, they released a new track, "Live My Life," to remind fans that the tour is about to go down. "Live My Life" sounds like Clams and Lil B just having fun. It still carries Clams' trademark pathos, though it's a romp by his standards, and everything is a romp in Lil B's world.

Clams Casino will be dropping his first project in quite some time (and his first studio album) tomorrow. Ahead of the release of 32 Levels, Zane Lowe is holding us down with one of his world premieres for what is undoubtedly the most anticipated cut off the album-- a collaboration with internet-grown rappers A$AP Rocky and Lil B. Both artists are responsible for helping Clams Casino find a slice of fame (or is it the other way around?).

We're pretty excited to hear Clams Casino's first body of work since 2013. The talented but not-so-prolific producer is gearing up to release 32 Levels, which is actually his first studio album and only his second proper commercial release, following his debut EP Rainforest (he's released a collection of Instrumental mixtapes).

VERY HOTTTTT
Clams Casino has picked collaborators wisely for his debut album 32 Levels. The album will feature his old partners-in-crime A$AP Rocky and Lil B. Earlier this month, he released a hellish track with Vince Staples called "All Nite." His newest release "A Breath Away" prominently features Kelela, whose EP Hallucinogen was one of the best projects of 2015.

Yup, it's really happening. After a three-year hiatus and little-to-no new music, Clams Casino is gearing up to release his new album 32 Levels. Last night we received the tracklisting, which contains appearances from past collaborators (who achieved no small fame thanks to Clammy Clam's beats) ASAP Rocky and Lil B, as well as a few lesser-known artists like Kelela, Sam Dew, Mikky Ekko and more.

VERY HOTTTTT
It's safe to say we've been missing Clams Casino. The producer who first came to predominance during ASAP Rocky's come up, has since taken a backseat-- from 2011 to 2013 he dropped one Instrumentals mixtape instalment a year, but since then, we've heard from him sparsely. It's exciting to find out that he's working on a new album, and what's more, he's dropped off the album's first single today.

Clams Casino isn't as active as he once was, but every now and then he comes through with something. Today we get a remix of the song "Weak" from the rising band Wet. Casino adds his signature low-fi quality with big synths and echoing vocals, while also stripping away some of the more pop-y elements of the original record. He creates a more ethereal sound for the record while maintaining a similar pace as the original. We'll include the original version below for comparison.

Danny Brown
VERY HOTTTTT
Although they both rose to prominence in the fall of 2011 (one with XXX, the other with a few otherworldly beats on A$AP Rocky's Live.Love.A$AP), Danny Brown and Clams Casino have never collaborated before. That changes today with the release of "Worth It," this week's track in the Adult Swim Singles club.

Clams Casino hasn't been quite as active as he was a couple years back, breaking through with am in-demand sound and crafting some huge records for Lil B, ASAP Rocky, and Mac Miller, among others. Once in a while, he'll take a pop record and shape into something much weirder, as he did with Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die" a couple years back.

ASAP Ferg continues to keep the music rolling. After hitting us with “Doe Active” & “Perfume” in the past week, the Harlem spitta decides to come through tonight and hit us with another one called “Talk It”.

After dropping off the remix to “Drop” featuring ASAP Ant & Lil Uzi Vert a few weeks back, Tayyib Ali decides to return tonight with another new track for the masses, this time going featureless on “Cannabis”.
Jesus Is A Soul Man

Lee Scratch Perry
HOTTTTT
For those unfamiliar, Lee Scratch Perry, AKA Rainford Hugh Perry, is a Rastafarian dub reggae pioneer from Kendal, Jamaica. He's one of the country's most important musical icons, active since 1958, and his influence extends far beyond it. Perry may be 78-years-old, but he continues to put in work nonetheless, his latest offering having been produced by none other than New Jersey Wunderkind Clams Casino. "Jesus Is A Soul Man" is a beautifully minimal take on the dub reggae genre, functioning perfectly in that lane despite the generation gap here.

Clams Casino is an incredible hip hop producer, but sometimes his beat work even better as instrumental moodpieces. His latest and "final" instrumental tape is proof of such, providing the beats from his work with rappers from the last year or so. Do you prefer the instrumental or the Rocky version of "LVL"?
