A$AP Rocky puts production team The Kickdrums on blast over leaked version of “Ridin”which he says has wack lyrics and does not have the written bars he dropped.
It seems A$AP Rocky and Lana Del Rey have been in the news a lot recently. Yesterday, the ‘official’ version of Rocky’s “Ridin”, featuring vocals from Del Rey was dropped, but turns out the track was not official at all. After hearing the track being played around the internet, the Harlem rapper took to Twitter to berate The Kickdrums, who produced the track, for releasing a version which contained a freestyle and not the written verses.

MY BARZ ARE WACK AF ON THAT SONG BRUH, THAT WAZ A FREESTYLE REFERENCE AND THEY KNOW DAT, FUCK THE KICK DRUMS!!!— DAT PMF (@asvpxrocky) June 28, 2012

After catching word of A$AP’s Twitter accusations the production team defended themselves claiming an unknown source must have leaked it, and they were as confused as he was.
We didn't leak that "Ridin'" track. I was as surprised to see it on the web as everyone else.— TheKickDrums (@TheKickDrums) June 28, 2012
Whole thing is weird to me. Song just pops up outta nowhere & theres an official lookin cover and shit. call my manager like "what is this?"— TheKickDrums (@TheKickDrums) June 28, 2012
Originally the cut was to be featured on a The Kick Drums mixtape, but Rocky then decided to keep it for his upcoming album LongLiveA$AP, and to rename the tune “My Bitch”. It will be interesting to hear the final version of the track on the album slated for a September 11th release.
