    On September 30th, Saigon will release the third installment of his Greatest Story Never Told series, GSNT 3: The Troubled Times of Brian Carenard. Today, the NY rapper has given us the album's artwork and tracklist. Check out the former in the gallery above, and the latter below.

    When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh-huh honey".

    Monday night at the Best Buy theater in NYC, 9 of the 12 XXL Freshmen took the stage for a very special performance. HotNewHipHop was at the high-energy show, and we've got a full gallery of photos to prove it.Apart from memorable performances from up-and-coming rappers like Kevin Gates, Lil Bibby, and Rich Homie Quan, plenty of surprise guests also graced the stage. Kid Ink made an appearance during the set from fellow L.A. native, Ty Dolla $ign, while Troy Ave also put on for his city, bringing out hometown hero, Fabolous.

    Lil Bibby gained a lot of regional hype through his collaborations with Lil Herb in 2013, but he capped the year with his most popular release yet, solo effort Free Crack. Since then he's managed to land himself on 2014's XXL Freshmen cover, pushing him even further into the public eye. The rapper was scheduled to release an EP called The Book before the year's end, and whether or not that's still on the docket, he'll be releasing a follow-up to his debut mixtape, aptly titled, Free Crack 2.
