Jason DeRulo (born September 21, 1989 in Miramar, Florida) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, producer and actor signed to JR Rotem's label Beluga Heights. He has written hit singles for acts such as Lil Wayne, Pleasure P, Pitbull, Stat Quo and Birdman. His debut single, Whatcha Say, was released to radio in June 2009. It samples the Imogen Heap song 'Hide And Seek' and debuted at #54 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has since peaked at #1.
