  • Birthday
    Birthday
Elle Varner is vying for a hit record with her new single, "Birthday," which appropriately features the "In Da Club" rapper 50 Cent, as rumored. It's a smooth record that is both viable for radio play and club play. This follows up "The End Of The Beginning" from a few weeks back, and it's definitely a step up.
  • The End Of The Beginning
    The End Of The Beginning
Elle Varner's currently prepping her album 4 Letter Word for release later this year, and word on the street is that her next single, "Birthday," will feature 50 Cent. • Where Your Man Is
    Where Your Man Is
Elle Varner gets a bit ratchet for "Where Your Man Is," and we're digging it. The singer hasn't dropped off a new cut since the DJ Dahi-produced "One Love," and she's also been busy promoting "Don't Wanna Dance" featuring A$AP Ferg. However today she diverts our attention to a new single.
  • Run Up On Ya
    Run Up On Ya
Last night Shade 45 premiered one last song from Joey Bada$$'s upcoming album B4.DA.$$. The collaboration "Run Up On Ya" features fellow New Yorker Action Bronson and smooth hook from singer Elle Varner. The song is produced by Joey's frequent collaborator Statik Selektah, who cooks up a typically old school sentimental beat.
  • One Love
    One Love
Elle Varner has teamed up with the unstoppable DJ Dahi for a new song dedicated to Mike Brown, the teen slayed by a Police officer in Ferguson last week. "One Love" is a call for equality, using the tragedy as a means to incite change.  The song comes very shortly after J. Cole's song on the same subject, "Be Free", and most likely won't be the last time music is used to raise awareness on the situation.
  • Wonderful Everyday: Arthur
    Wonderful Everyday: Arthur
Chance The Rapper, with his wide-eyed enthusiasm and fondness for hallucinogens, is the type who you'd expect to find deeper meaning in children's cartoons. Recently he's taken to covering the theme song from PBS' "Arthur" (originally done by Ziggy Marley) at his concerts, and now he's released a studio version. Featuring additional vocals from Wyclef Jean, Francis & The Lights, Jesse Ware, Elle Varner, Eryn Allen Kane, The O'my's, Peter Cottontale & Donnie Trumpet, this version is sprawling, slightly experimental, and sounds fit for a musical.
  • Don't Wanna Dance
    Don't Wanna Dance
Hey A$AP Ferg, your pop side is showing. Over the past week, Fergenstein has remixed a song by indie-pop group Haim, been announced as a guest on Ariana Grande's upcoming album, and now has teamed up with singer Elle Varner for a new track. Though it's certainly a different, less "Fergivicious" direction for the A$AP Mob firebrand, we can dig it when he's still bringing his inventive rapping to the table.
  • Fuck It All
    Fuck It All
After dropping off "Little Do You Know" a few weeks back, Elle Varner hits us with another track off the forthcoming project Four Letter Word, this one titled "Fuck It All." As the singer writes on her Soundcloud page, "And sometimes you just have to say #FuckItAll…" Indeed.

Elle's vocals are strong as ever throughout, easily matching each dynamic shift in the track. Look out for more new music, and possibly a new album in the very near future.
