JR Writer Gives First Interview Since Getting Out Of Jail
JR Writer was released from jail three days ago after serving a bid lasting nearly two years -- 21 months and 27 days to be exact. Yesterday, he swung by Ebro in the Morning to discuss music, jail, and his new found freedom with Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. While Writer admitted that jail took a toll on him, he considers the bid a "blessing in disguise." "I got to recreate myself, mentally, physically," he said. "I went ahead, got my diploma. I was reading, writing, working out. I'm in a different space now."
Jim Jones On ESPN's Highly Questionable
Jim Jones was the latest rapper to appear on ESPN's Highly Questionable segment. During the video, Jones fields questions about living in the Bronx and having to move to Harlem to live with his grandma (because of all his bad behavior). He goes on to talk about some of the craziest fight he's been in (among them, he was apparently involved in a fight that lasted thirty minutes), and says that he has to always be on his defense in the rap game. He also details what actually happened during that thirty minute, which involved Juelz Santana and Freeky Zeky too.

We're now a few weeks removed from the madness that was SXSW 2015, but if you're feeling nostalgic (and craving some bud), CinematicTV's got you covered with their recap of all the Smoker's Club events that went down this year. Check out the smoke-clouded video above. Freekey Zekey Speaks On Past Dipset Beef With Jay Z
In an interview with ThisIs50, Dipset CEO and rapper Freekey Zekey is immediately grilled on the longstanding tensions between Dipset and Jay Z. Apparently when Dipset came over to Roc-A-Fella in 2001, Jay Z largely ignored the crew, instead focusing on other artists on his roster. Cam'Ron tried for months, to no avail, to get Hov in the studio during the recording of his Come Home With Me album. Jay finally agreed, and they recorded "Welcome to New York City".

Cam'ron "First Of The Month" Ep. 1 Trailer
On July 1st, Cam'ron will drop the first EP in his "First Of The Month" series, and with Volume One comes an accompanying short film with the same title. Yesterday, Complex shared a trailer for episode one. Narrated by Cousin Bang, this preview is dark and gun-heavy, and features appearances by Cam'ron, JuJu and Sen City. The music, filming style and narration all recall the Blaxploitation era of cinema from the '70s. Stick around to watch Bang train his son in cold-blooded ways and Cam and the gang feed mice to a cobra -- it's certainly an action-packed clip.
