Zeds Dead are not usually a group you'll see on the HNHH homepage because, strictly speaking, they're an electronic duo. However they've been experimenting with other genres, and they continue to vy for various genre crossovers with their upcoming album titled Northern Lights.
Today's leak off the album, which features hip-hop heavyweight Pusha T and indie rock frontman Rivers Cuomo (what a time), is about as far from electronic as possible, it feels more like a pop record. Zeds Dead centers the beat around a happy go-lucky piano melody, later on, introducing a string arrangement before briefly building up to an electronic vibe that quickly dissipates. Pusha T puts on his best sing-song rap voice too, as he details a millenial girl and all that entails. It's a surprising trio of artists, but it turned out pretty dope. What do you think?
