After teasing the project heavily on all his social media accounts, Young Thug finally announced a release date for his next project, Jeffery, at the beginning of August, to the delight of his fans. The 300-signed rapper revealed the mixtape, which will hopefully be followed by his highly anticipated debut HiTunes, was scheduled to drop on August 16th, his birthday.
It looks like that is no longer the case, in true Thugger form, the project is being delayed. Lyor Cohen took to his Snapchat to share a whiteboard on which is written: "You know your name is Young Thug!" and underneath that, in reply, "No!! My name is Jeffery AUG 26."
Thug has yet to share the news with his fans, but seeing as Lyor Cohen runs the label, he probably knows what's up. Take a look at a screenshot on his Snapchat above.
