Just before midnight on Thursday, Young Thug dropped his long-awaited mixtape, Slime Season 3. Earlier in the day, one of the tape's tracks, "Digits," produced by London on da Track, was premiered by Zane Lowe on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio. On Friday afternoon, Thug sent out a tweet that suggests there is another version of "Digits" on the way that will feature none other than Meek Mill, who is currently almost two months into a three-month stint on house arrest for violating the terms of his probation.
The tweet seems to say that the wrong version of "Digits" made it onto SS3. But regardless if the tape will be updated or not, Thug implied that he will drop the version featuring Meek in the near future.
And late last night, Thug proved that the new version of "Digits" he speaks of is indeed real by sharing a snippet of Meek's verse on his Instagram. "Digits ft. My brada @meekmill," Thug wrote in the video's caption.
Though it's only 15 seconds, he really snaps. Meek begins by rapping in the tempo of Thug's hook, a speed he's very comfortable with -- and stay until the end, as he tries out his singing voice, reaching up into octaves he usually steers clear of. Upon its (hopeful) release, the new version of "Digits" will be Thug and Meek's first collab since "Hundreds (I Had a Dream)," released in January 2014. This could be massive.
