Young Thug Goes To The Zoo Pt. 2: The Best Animal References On "Slime Season"

Young Thug is no stranger to using animal metaphors in his raps. On Barter 6 earlier this year, the eccentric rapper littered his verses with animal references, and dropped clever lines about Willie B. and piranhas, amongst others.

At any rate, Slime Season revolves around the same lines. The new mixtape is just another trip to the zoo for Thugger. The Atlanta rapper acts as your tour guide to see everything from whales to snails as the animal kingdom is peppered in with his usual lines about sex, drugs, and the rap-star-drug-dealer lifestyle. 

We've gone ahead and compiled our favorite animal references for eighteen track mixtape for your second annual trip to the zoo. Remember not to feed the animals!

"Ooh! Take a trip to Peru, baby suck my dog like Snoop
Blood gang, big ups soo woo
Dinosaur bank roll, woo woo"

We're not sure if Thugger is referring to his member as a 'dog,' or if he is talking about his friend. The more important question, however, is whether or not dinosaurs count as animals?

"I'mma hit her with this wood, no mouse trap
Take a 5 hour red, ball it cat nap"

Here's another two-for-one. Young Thug avoided the easy-enough animal reference by not saying rooster, but threw a little cat-and-mouse game in the hook.

"I'ma pour up mud and now I'm livin' like a pig
Signed so many deals I think I got the best sig"

Lean means mud, and pigs love mud. It's surprising that this animal metaphor hasn't been thrown around a little more often, given the purple drank's prominence in the hip hop scene.

("Stunna")

The goat part is a reference to horny goat weed, while the bull stop apparently refers to a place where Young Thug has sex with other men's wives. [via]

"Just for show my diamonds yellow like a taxi
I'm a cat, I'mma chase all them pussy rats"

Thugger is the cat, so all ya'll rats better watch out, capiche?

("Power")

"I'ma pimp my carats out a rabbit
And I get mostly green like a salad"

No idea what pimping carats out of a rabbit can possibly mean. Please fill us in on this dire mystery in the comments section if you're hip to some new slang.

("No Way")

"Nigga, Catch these ones like the swine nigga
Nigga, you be cuffing with no ties nigga
Twin dimes and they mine, fold em like a pork rind
I know bloods that rock burgundy, no wine"

Thugger gets tough to let you know he can turn a pig into a pork rind.

("Mine")

"Baby want to touch my milk like she cowin'
Every time you see me, I'm a have thousands"

There may be nothing more disgusting than picturing Young Thug's man-milk, but then again the mixtape is called Slime Season...what did you expect?

Thugger goes to the Middle East for a little camel riding.

("Be Me See Me")

"I ride water like a fuckin' whale
Drug got expenses like a fuckin' bill
I like girls, I'm a fuckin' male
Nigga wanna slide, then I snail, watch me"

"Overdose" has a pretty high concentration of animal references, with whales, snails, birds, fish, and caterpillars all making their way into the track.

"Pussy nigga you’s a rat and I'm Tom
Every given Sunday I got Falcons"

Here's one of our favorites from Slime Season. The rat is inferior to Tom, the cat, and the Falcons is a double-meaning for birds (cocaine) and the Atlanta football team that Thugger supports.

"We are the best, Dominick, I zipped down my pants
She gone snort like a pig, she gone out of control"

Likening a girl to a pig isn't flattering, and probably won't help your chances of getting lucky. We'll go ahead and recommend that you don't try this line at home.
