After weeks of promotion, which included sending real live snakes to the offices of various media publications & sharing its featured artists, Young Thug finally came through yesterday (the day after his 27th birthday) and shared his long awaited Slime Language album. The 15-track project boasts features from several of his YSL family, including Lil Duke, Gunna, HiDoraah and more.
Looking to highlight one of the many dope new records, here goes the collab with Lil Uzi Vert called “It’s A Slime.” Serving as the duo’s fourth collaboration together, Thugger delivers a very breezy & melodic, auto-tuned cut that finds him spitting his rapid fire bars over some playful production from Wheezy. Meanwhile Uzi delivers a quick 12-bar verse, spitting some nursery-like rhymes in the process, rhyming words like “cooler” with “booler” and “ruler” for instance. “Okay, I'm a lil cooler/ Uh, yeah, slime a lil booler/ Uh, okay I don't need a shooter/ Uh, I got a Glock with a ruler” Uzi spits.
