Back in the summer Chicago-based rapper Young Gii connected with fellow Chicagoian King Louie for "All On My Dih." The slang titles return today with "Yean Never Seen", which finds the rising rapper celebrating his Bahamian background. As he explains on his Soundcloud, he was inspired his culture's Junkanoo tradition. For those of us unfamiliar with the tradition, he offers a brief description; "Junkanoo is a masquerade street carnival that moves through the streets of downtown Nassau. This cultural event features colorful elaborate costumes, floats and musicians who perform melody selections on goatskin drums, cowbells, whistles and horns."

The rapper is currently prepping his EP Islands To The City, so stay tuned for that.

Quotable Lyrics

Baby I could take you scuba diving
Or maybe I could take you the hood
Cause all my young boys be too violent
Girl you ever seen pink sand? Want a real tan?
Fuck with your man, you ain't never seen a flamingo?
No? Damn
