Last week, the criminally underrated yet unanimously respected producer Zaytoven dropped an EP titled Where Would The Game Be Without Me 2, which you can check out here. Now, the Atlanta icon has delivered yet another new single, and this time, it features the recently shot Young Dolph. The song is set to appear on Zaytoven's upcoming solo album, which is set to be a joint effort from Motown Records and Zay's own Familiar Territory Records. While there's still no concrete release date for the project, it's rumored to be dropping before the year ends. Perhaps we'll be able to welcome 2018 with a slew of new Zaytoven bangers, "Left Da Bank" among them.
It's good to have a new verse from Young Dolph, who recently suffered a close call after being shot outside an L.A. shoe store. Dolph was rushed to the hospital, where he spent some time in critical condition before stabilizing. The rapper proceeded to let his fans know he was doing alright with a vague, yet optimistic tweet, chalk full of dolphin emojis: "IT"S DOLPH!" And while this track was probably recorded prior to the harrowing incident, it's still good to hear Dolph on a track again. He certainly sounds at home over Zaytove's eerie, alien-esque instrumental, with his energetic baritone flexing over some trap drums.
"I just left the motherfuckin' bank!" raps Dolph, over a fifties-b movie sci-fi synth. Yet Zaytoven specializes in making this style of beat, and his mastery shows in the track's latter half when he begins sneaking some haunting strings into the arrangement. Overall, the track is a refreshing surprise, and while it's only available in select international markets until it drops at midnight, there's little doubt that a resourceful fan will find a way to hear this one in full.
