Once a student of Gucci Mane, Young Dolph has built a movement of his own in the year's following his mentor's incarceration, taking a more by-the-numbers approach to trap than fellow Guwop co-signs like Young Thug. It's made him one of the more reliable voices in the world of street rap, and "150," a highlight from his new Rich Crack Baby mixtape, pairs him with another Southern rapper making uncompromising street, 21 Savage. Like Dolph, 21 roots his style in an unmistakable delivery, doubling down on grit rather than embracing melody. While both emcees often occupy dark spaces, here they find themselves working with some more colorful Zaytoven production, further illustrating their Gucci lineage.
