"You should be proud of me. My first love," Yo Gotti opens his "Letter 2 The Trap," the sole melancholic moment on his new collaborative project with Mike WiLL, Gotti Made-It. Over some softly-swelling synths, Gotti explains his complicated relationship with the street life in a first-person address. "You put heart in me / Appreciate you trap / Forever a part of me," he raps, suggesting, "You helped me build my label." However, the most powerful moment comes in Gotti's final verse where he acknowledges the loss he's experienced. "They say you fucked my life up / Yeah, arguably / I don't agree with that / But you did take my dawgs from me... I'll never forgive you for that."

Quotable Lyrics:
You should be tellin' me praise the Lord
You know this shit too hard to ignore
You should've never showed me a million cash
What you do that for?
Why you take me to Mexico in the first place?
Now I'm goin' back and forth
Cut out the middle man, go see the plug
We call it the backdoor
I wanted to be a rapper in the first place
What you give me a sack for?
I had anger management in the first place
What you give me a MAC for?
