With his third studio album Stay Dangerous seeing release Friday, YG has shared an additional verse on the remix of Jhene Aiko's "Never Call Me" remix. The meditative track first appeared on Aiko's Trip album and featured an outro from west coast legend Kurupt. YG, who's very much indebted to the G-funk of the past, while pushing L.A. rap forward, adds new energy to the track without upsetting the mood. The song was produced by the impressive team of Cashmere Cat, Benny Blanco, Frank Dukes and Amaire Johnson, and features some synthetic vocal filters that bring to mind Cashmere Cat's work on his underrated solo album, 9, on which Jhene appeared.
YG's Stay Dangerous is set to feature guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Joe Moses, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and more. Look out for it tonight.
